Carol Harrison is one of the UK’s most highly respected actresses, as well as a writer, director, and producer. Her career spans over four decades, working at the cutting edge of theatre and television. She joined the Royal National Theatre Company to work with the legendary Arthur Miller in Michael Rodman's highly acclaimed 1978 production of Death of a Salesman. She then went on to star at the Royal Court Theatre, London, and the Lyric Hammersmith, Alfie at the Liverpool Playhouse (directed by Alan Parker), and Lee Hall's Cooking with Elvis, to name but a few of her theatre credits. Snapped up by TV at an early age she has played guest lead roles in some of Britain's finest shows. Film credits included a starring role in the TV movie Martha Jac and Sianco for S4C which won six Welsh BAFTA awards.

Loose Connections, The Elephant Man, Quadrophenia, and Moff's mum alongside Danny Dyer in the cult hit Human Traffic.

For seven years Carol played the incorrigible Gloria in the popular BBC series Brushstrokes, and Dorothy in two series of London’s Burning. One of her favourite roles was starring as sassy Loretta Sweet opposite Ray Winstone in the comedy series Get Back.  However, Carol is probably best known as the exciting, fiery, and passionate Louise Raymond in EastEnders. The storyline between her and son-in-law Grant Mitchell gripped the nation and won EastEnders a BAFTA for best soap for the first time.

Carol starred as Chrissie Martin in the world premiere of The Thunder Girls play. The Thunder Girls Is scheduled to open at the Lowey Theatre Manchester in 2022. 

For many years alongside her acting, Carol has been a professional Screenwriter working on various TV programmes which include several episodes of The Bill. 

Carol has an MA in screenwriting from the University of Arts, and a degree in post-compulsory education, which led her to become Creative Director of Brighton Film School, lecturing in Acting for the Camera and Screenwriting.

Since 2012 Carol has written, directed, produced, and starred (as Kay Marriott, Steve’s mother) in the highly acclaimed All Or Nothing The Mod Musical. Starting In 2016, the musical ‘rocked houses’ across the U.K. for over two years before opening in London’s West End in 2018.

The All or Nothing loyal and dedicated audience couldn’t get enough of the show so Carol has developed the All or Nothing Experience concert-show playing in theatres and smaller music venues throughout the U.K.

Carol has written the screenplay of All or Nothing the feature film, which is currently in development.
