START THE CAR! BUMBLE TAKES TO THE ROAD

Come and discover the world according to Bumble, aka David Lloyd, the nation’s favourite cricket commentator.

As a cricketer Bumble played for Lancashire and England and also coached both teams and he was eccentric enough then.

But, since moving behind the microphone as part of the iconic Test Match Special radio team, then joining the SkySports cricket commentary team and becoming the face of their Twenty20 coverage, he’s got far worse.

His column for the Daily Mail, and blog on the Sky Sports website, are hugely popular and he appears regularly on Cricinfo’s cricket podcast.

In Start The Car! Bumble takes us on fun-filled personal journey through his memories of more than forty years in the game, sharing tales of all sizes about the biggest names in world cricket; from Sir Ian Botham to “Sir” Geoffrey Boycott, from Brian Lara to Fred Trueman to Shane Warne to Sachin Tendulkar and all the run wickets and laughs in between.

With England due to defend The Ashes this winter, David is excited to be taking to the road in Start The Car! He is joined in the passenger seat by his friend Peter Hayter, who has reported on cricket all over the world during two decades as the cricket writer for the The Mail On Sunday in which he has also collaborated on best-selling autobiographies with Ian Botham, Phil Tufnell and Marcus Trecsothick.
